Homewood Railroad Heritage Day, located at the Village of Homewood Municipal Center Park District Auditorium, 2020 Chestnut Road (Corner Of Chestnut & Dixie Highway) in Homewood, Illinois. Admission is FREE!

FRIDAY, JUNE 6 -- 7:30 PM
Our monthly meeting will feature a program by noted electric railroad historian Norm Carlson with a look at the fascinating story of Illinois Central's suburban lines.

Meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the first Friday of the month (except July and August) at the
Gladys Fox Museum on the corner of 9th Street and Washington Street in Lockport, Illinois.

RailCamp Scholarship
RailCamp is NRHS's highly successful railroad education program for teenagers, giving young men and women of all backgrounds and abilities the experience of working on the railroad in both a historic and contemporary setting, helping to spark an interest and a potential career path in railroading and/or railroad preservation. To help encourage and develop the next generation of railfans and historians the Blackhawk Chapter is one of only a handful of NRHS chapters that offer a full RailCamp scholarship.
